Have you said goodbye to these Metro Manila restaurants?

MANILA – Quite a number of restaurants in Metro Manila have closed their doors this year. 

Here’s a look:

1. Karen’s Kitchen

This restaurant in Pasig’s Kapitolyo closed last June 30. It is famous for cakes and other sweet treats.

“My heartfelt thanks to all of you who gave your love, support, and encouragement through the years! It was an awesome privilege to have partaken in your special occasions with your loved ones through our cakes,” said the restaurant’s owner, Karen Young.

2. Ludo: Boardgame Bar & Bistro Makati

Ludo has announced that it is closing its branch on Jupiter Street in Makati on August 6.

“Our QC branch will remain open and lively,” Ludo assured its customers. “But it is time to say goodbye to our Jupiter street branch. Our last day of operation will be on August 5.”

3. Sarsa Rockwell

The Rockwell branch of Chef JP Anglo’s Sarsa chain closed its doors last June 30.

“Our Sarsa Rockwell branch thanks you for the countless visits, happy get-togethers, and much time spent in the four walls of our lovely restaurant. As our Sarsa Rockwell bids farewell, new doors for Sarsa will open,” Anglo said.

4. Toast Box

This Singaporean restaurant chain ended its operations in Manila last May 31.

It was replaced by a new concept called Nanyang, which offers Asian favorites.
