Filipino boy dies from drowning in New Mexico

REDWOOD CITY - A Filipino boy died after drowning in a lake in New Mexico on Saturday.

The victim, Kingdom Ferdinand Cobol, drowned in Bottomless Lakes in New Mexico, about 3 hours south of the state’s capital, Santa Fe, according to a fundraising page for the family

His mother, Mary An Cobol, is a teacher at Highland Junior High in Hobbs, New Mexico, and recently brought her husband and 3 sons over from the Philippines.
